Before our fitting, I met with Jordan to go over what he would need to be prepared. We reviewed what was needed for the Nashona fitting, but did not think we would need to do as many edits to the garments themselves. This would be due to Jen ordering the items herself, so only essentials would be needed this time around, thankfully. For the Nashona fitting, Jennifer Michelle had been provided the garments and the sizes were not her decision, so it was a little bit more difficult. This time around, Jen picked the items specifically to bring for this show.
We met at the library in meeting room 103. This was a little difficult as the library's website listed the same exact address as the Academic Center building, which was across the street. It was not too difficult, as I went outside to meet most of the models on their way in. We only had difficulty with two models finding the place, as well as Jameka a bit later - but we managed to get them all in. Unfortunately, I had not been expecting Jameka so I was unable to get her a parking pass.
Jen and Jordan were also very collaborative throughout the whole process. We decided the items that we REALLY wanted to showcase, such as the burgundy leather dress that was perfect for Nicolette. We tried it on both Shalisa and Cynthia beforehand, but it did not work. We only had a little difficulty finding just the right outfit for Christina as we had already styled the other models, but kept her in the leather skirt and tried a few tops with it before deciding upon the printed shoe blouse.
Once we styled all of the models and decided on hair, makeup, and accessories, we determined the order for them. We decided that Cynthia would go last as we were told that she had the best walk and her look would also play into the following scene well. I also updated Jameka on the model order for Nashona and we all talked about the overall show and scene order to get a better idea of what was going on. After that was done, we left and Jordan and I spoke to debrief the whole fitting and what a great experience it was.
